OK so got everything built and setup. Took the quad outside and started it up just to check it out. The Naza seemed to set up ok so gave the throttle a push and the thing went haywire, wobbling all over the place! Checked the props and motor rotation and all is ok. A bit scary! Don't think I'm going to attempt a proper lift off until I can get to the park!

John, Next time you try it use the camera to video it so we can see the way it is performing etc.

Just had another go, not really flying, just a lift off and went up straight about 1 mtr and brought it down again. Going down to the park tomorrow for first flight! Oh and I bought another gimble as I lost the bits for the first one somewhere! This time a brushless motor gimble.

Got my backlight and installed it but managed to crack the LED screen in the process! Still works, just a thin black strip at the bottom.

Yep! Also, now that I have had to open up the Tx and unplugged everything, all my settings have gone! Have to do it all again.

That's strange.
I have opened mine around 3 times, removing the cable etc, but not lost any of the settings.

I have ordered a brushless motor gimbal so video should get better.

So my brushless gimbal arrived and put together. Just waiting for the controller to arrive now. Not quite sure how I'm going to mount it on the quad yet but stuck it on the front to have a look. Very pleased with it for £30!

My Gimbal RCtimer controller has arrived. No instructions so trawling the net! Look quite daunting at first but I'm sure someone out there has posted how to set it up ( I hope! )

So started on setting up the gimbal controller. Pretty straightforward to start with. Downloaded the latest firmware and flashed the eeprom very easily. The difficult bit is tuning the PIDs. So far I have got it fairly steady but a bit "jerky". I'm waiting for a new landing gear with gimbal mount before I actually put it all together, then I'll tune it properly. Also rx'd 2 Nanotech batteries today. Kit is growing!
